Listermann Brewing Teams Up With Cincinnati Art Museum On Van Gogh Themed Beer
What do Listermann Brewing and Cincinnati Art Museum have in common? Van Gogh!
The Listermann Brewing Company is a family owned brewery and homebrew supply store in the Greater Cincinnati area that focuses on innovative beer and the local community. The home brew store has been operating since 1991 and the brewery has been brewing award winning beers for the city since 2008 and the company is known for its great sweet beer. The company brews its beer using different flavors which makes the beer tasteful.
The Cincinnati art museum is one of the oldest art museum in the United States founded in the year 1881, it was the first purpose built art museum in west of the Alleghenies with the most famous paintings by Van Gogh. Vincent Willem van Gogh was a Dutch Post-Impressionist painter who was among the most famous and influential figures in the history of European art. Most of his artwork is exhibited at the Cincinnati art museum.
Cincinnati art museum and Listermann brewing company has partnered to create beer, the local brewery and Cincinnati art museum have worked together to create a Van Gogh themed beer, that will feature a painting on the label of each bottle. The brewing Company is generously donating a certain percentage of the beer to the Cincinnati Art Museum to proceed.
“It’s almost unbelievable to me that we get the awesome opportunity to have one of the great masters in art history grace the cans of our beer. As such, it is not an understatement that everyone here at Listermann is preternaturally excited to be involved with this collaboration. I am quite grateful that CAM has allowed us to work with them on this project, and I look forward to future collaborations with them!” says Jared Lewinski, head brewer at Listermann Brewing Company.
Listermann Brewing Company and the Cincinnati Art Museum collaborated back in April on a beer to promote the Terracotta Army: Legacy of the First Emperor of China exhibit that is currently at the museum. During exhibit they were able to raise over $1,300 through draft and four pack sales. The brewery and Cincinnati art museum are holding a social media contest to allow followers to name the beer this will create an opportunity for people, they are expected to follow their social media sites and submit their name idea. The contest winner will receive a Cincinnati art museum family membership ($75 value). The final beer name will be chosen by Cincinnati art museum and Listermann Winner will be announced before the end of this month. This collaboration sounds fantastic and it is also creating a picture of how art is fully connected with everything in the society.
