MARCEL DUCHAMP
@MUSEUM OF MODERN ART 12 APR 2026 - 22 AUG, 2026 “Why is this art?” is a question often asked by viewers of contemporary art. It is virtually impossible to answer it without referring to the work of Marcel Duchamp (1887–1968). Over a six-decade career, Duchamp challenged the very definition of the artwork, ushering in a new era of creative license—the reverberations of which are still felt today. While resistant to “-isms,” Duchamp had a hand in modern art movements ranging from Cubism to Surrealism to Pop. His pursuits were marked by continuous reinvention and deliberate inconsistency: “I have forced myself to contradict myself in order to avoid conforming to my own taste.” Discover more

Alessandro Berni Gallery presents Mania Unleashed, a solo exhibition by Franco Manià, curated by Gabriella De Ferrari, on view from April 16 through April 26, 2026, in New York. This exhibition marks a rare presentation of Manià’s work, bringing forward an artist who has spent decades working in quiet dedication, outside traditional art world structures. His practice is instinctive and deeply personal, shaped over time through repetition, introspection, and an unwavering commitment to painting.

TALISMAN - MICHELE OKA DONER @CENTRAL PARK, MANHATTAN, NY 09 MAR, 2026 - 02 NOV, 2026 This spring, Rockefeller Center welcomes “Vertical Highways V03” (2025), a monumental sculpture by German artist Bettina Pousttchi, on view in the Channel Gardens from March 18 through April 17, 2026. Installed at the Fifth Avenue entrance to the Channel Gardens, the sculpture marks the first public presentation of Pousttchi’s “Vertical Highways” series in the United States. The work has previously been shown internationally, including at the Jardin des Tuileries, outside Berlin Central Station, and at the Istanbul Modern. Discover more
