LEN DELUCA SOLO SHOW VOCE MAGNA
@PLEIADES GALLERY 04 AUG - 30 AUG 2025
Color is my rebellion; I use loud, unfiltered color to create a visual riot. Each piece is a declaration of emotion and chaos. I don’t whisper with pastels, I shout with chroma and contrast. My work explores the emotional resonance of color. I choose palettes that command attention; each painting is a confrontation, a celebration, and sometimes intimidating. I’m drawn to the tension between chaos and control, using saturated pigments, exaggerated contrasts, and layered textures to challenge the viewer’s comfort zone. This exhibit isn’t meant to soothe—it’s meant to wake you up.

MELISSA JOSEPH - TENDER
@BROOKLYN MUSEUM OF ART
06 JUN - 02 NOV, 2025
Transforming the Brooklyn Museum’s outdoor plaza into a space for gathering and reflecting, UOVO Prize–winner Melissa Joseph explores how public art fosters human connection. Based in Brooklyn and with family roots in India and Ireland, Joseph is known for her distinctive fiber-painting practice that considers themes of belonging and cultural inheritance. Her vivid works capture deceptively mundane moments, meditating on simple interactions between friends and loved ones—people eating, resting, laughing, and embracing.

DIVINE GRACE STRIKE GOLD - JAIME MIRANDA-BAMBARÉN @REV. T. WENDELL FOSTER PARK AND RECREATION CENTER, BRONX
14 APR, 2025 - 31 MAY, 2026
Artist Jaime Miranda-Bambarén exhumes the truncated roots of plundered trees in the Peruvian highlands. They are centennial arbors, planted in viceregal times, razed by our degrading "modernity." By transforming such remains into “seeds,” Miranda affirms an ecological claim and a resurrectional act: to transfigure those fields of sown death into almost breathing images of life.
