GIACOMETTI IN THE TEMPLE OF DENDUR

@THE METROPOLITAN MUSEUM OF ART 12 JUN - 08 SEPT, 2026 In co-organization with the Fondation Giacometti, this presentation brings together for the first time at The Met the work of Alberto Giacometti (1901–1966) in one of New York's most iconic spaces. The installation of 14 works in bronze and plaster, emblematic pieces from the collection of the Fondation Giacometti in Paris together with three from The Met collection, places the work of one of the great sculptors of the 20th century in dialogue with the ancient civilization that strongly influenced his art and his practice. 45TH ANNIVERSARY: HOME AND ABROAD @ALISAN FINE ARTS 09 JUL - 28 AUG, 2026 Founded in 1981 in Hong Kong, 2026 marks the 45th anniversary of Alisan Fine Arts. To commemorate the occasion, we have organized a series of exhibitions across our various gallery locations and at art fairs under the theme of “Then and Now”. Here at Alisan Fine Arts New York, our focus will be on the Chinese Diaspora artists with whom we’ve worked since the gallery’s early years, alongside a new generation of contemporary artists. Gather on the Brooklyn Museum’s outdoor plaza and take a moment to remember and heal. Photographer Keisha Scarville, the 2026 winner of the UOVO Prize, was born in 1975 to Guyanese parents who had immigrated to New York. In this site-specific installation, she overlays portraits and still lifes onto abstract patterns—many sourced from garments owned by her late mother, Alma. The striking images, several of which are from her series Mama’s Clothes, are filled with mesmerizing details that reward stepping back, looking closely, and reflecting on their meaning.
