CORE MEMORY - PEGGY WEIL @MUSEUM OF MODERN ART 07 MAR, 2026 - 04 OCT, 2026 Core Memory brings two of Peggy Weil’s “underscapes” to the immersive 24-foot screen in MoMA’s lobby. From the youngest snow to the oldest ice, 88 Cores descends two miles and 110,000 years through Greenland’s ice sheet, where time is preserved in vertical bands of ice, air, and gas. In 18 Cores, Weil shifts from polar cold to geothermal heat, assembling images of rock cores extracted from California’s Salton Sea between 1985 and 1986. This film reveals a subterranean landscape of shales, siltstones, and sandstones dating to the Pleistocene era. Through these vertical time capsules, Weil makes the physical evidence of environmental shifts perceptible and undeniable. Discover more

CHUBB FELLOWS EXHIBITION : KORBYN CARLETON, SIERRA MERDA, AND ANDRÉA OLIVIA @NEW YORK ACADEMY OF ART 24 AUG, 2026 - 23 SEP, 2026 The New York Academy of Art is pleased to announce the 2026 Chubb Fellows Exhibition, spotlighting new work by Korbyn Carleton, Sierra Merda, and Andréa Olivia. The exhibition will be on view from August 24-September 23 at the Academy's gallery at 111 Franklin Street in TriBeCa. Now in its 18th year, the Chubb Fellowship is the Academy's most prestigious postgraduate award, given annually to three outstanding MFA graduates or alumni. Chubb Fellows receive studio accommodations and a stipend, as well as opportunities including exhibitions and professional development. The fellows participate in the Chubb Lounge at Art Basel Miami Beach in December 2026. MONUMENTAL @SUNDARAM TAGORE GALLERY 16 JUL, 2026 - 28 AUG, 2026

Monumental, one of three New York summer group shows, brings together ambitious works of varying scale—from small pieces to commanding large-format works—all equally powerful and impactful. Included in this wide-ranging exhibition is our first presentation of work by renowned Lebanese American artist Nabil Nahas (b. 1949, Beirut), known for extravagantly textured, multi-layered paintings articulated in vivid color. Nahas’s work is currently showcased at the Venice Biennale in a solo exhibition in the Lebanese Pavilion.

ALFARERO DEL BARRIO (VILLAGE POTTER) ROBERTO LUGO @MADISON SQUARE PARK CONSERVANCY 20 MAY, 2026 - 06 DEC, 2026 Madison Square Park Conservancy is excited to present work by Philadelphia-based artist Roberto Lugo for its 2026 commission. Lugo is known primarily for his ceramic sculptures, which refer to the history of European pottery as well as hip-hop, graffiti, and Puerto Rican culture. Lugo’s exhibition Alfarero del Barrio—which translates to “village potter”—will consist of two works.   Discover more
