Elsewhere brings together works shaped by movement, exchange, and sustained looking, and reflects on how artworks circulate, encounter new contexts, and generate meaning through displacement. From Manhattan’s vertical grids of steel to the golden light stretching across the horizon in the City of Angels, New York and Los Angeles, two cultural anchors on opposite coasts of the United States are entering a moment of dialogue that feels more frequent and more urgent than ever before. Across nearly three thousand miles, these two cities continue to exchange ways of seeing, making, and living with art, shaping distinct yet interconnected creative temperaments.
