Clio Art Fair returns to Chelsea this September for its 24th and 25th editions, bringing together a diverse selection of independent contemporary artists from New York and around the world. Across two consecutive editions, visitors can discover painting, sculpture, photography, mixed media, installation, and performance, with works exploring themes of identity, memory, resilience, experimentation, and personal expression.
The September program also features “I Don’t Want To Be Useful,” Clio Art Fair’s performance program exploring artistic freedom beyond productivity, function, and expectation. Taking place at 511 West 25th Street in Chelsea, the fair continues its mission of giving independent artists a platform to present their work directly to collectors, art professionals, and the public.

JORDAN WOLFSON @GAGOSIAN 18 SEPT - 24 OCT, 2026 Gagosian is pleased to announce an exhibition of new work by Jordan Wolfson at 555 West 24th Street in New York. This is the artist’s first exhibition with the gallery in New York. A selection of new uniformly scaled sculptures incorporates emblematic color and black-and-white photographs, sourced online and from personal and academic archives, that resonate with art history, popular culture, and Wolfson’s own preoccupations. “I Don’t Want To Be Useful”: Performance at Clio Art Fair’s 25th Edition
Clio Art Fair returns to Chelsea, New York, from September 24–27, 2026, with its 25th Edition and performance program, “I Don’t Want To Be Useful.” Taking place at 511 West 25th Street, the program brings together artists working across movement, dance, sound, live music, interactive performance, and experimental forms. Rather than focusing on productivity or fixed outcomes, the performances explore presence, slowness, refusal, ambiguity, play, and participation. Artists including Veronika Rabinovich, Alexandria Nunweiler, DeMar Walker, Rohan Zhou-Lee, Kristen Martin-Aarnio, Margo Staniszewska, Lindsey Miller / LLMoves, Despina Sophia Stamos & Regina Nejman, and Alkistis Misouli will activate the fair throughout the weekend. The program invites visitors to experience contemporary art beyond the traditional exhibition format, through live encounters that unfold directly within the gallery space.

AURUBOROS: URBAN MEMORY AND COLLECTIVE DREAM - PLASTIQUE FANTASTIQUE @THE HIGH LINE AT LITTLE WEST 12TH STREET 10 SEPT - 20 SEPT, 2026 auruBOROS – Urban Memory and Collective Dream by Berlin-based artist duo Plastique Fantastique occupies New York’s High Line beneath The Standard. Commissioned by Bvlgari as part of its Serpenti Infinito art series, the temporary installation translates the ancient image of the Ouroboros into a large-scale pneumatic structure that connects architecture, public space, and collective experience. The Ouroboros, traditionally depicted as a serpent eating its own tail, represents a continuous cycle. For auruBOROS, Plastique Fantastique opens this circular form and extends its body into the city, creating the impression of a temporary organism moving through the urban landscape. The installation forms part of Bvlgari’s wider exploration of transformation, renewal, and continuity through the Serpenti Infinito series. Discover more
