GROOMED - BEA SCACCIA @GAGOSIAN 22 SEPT-23 DEC, 2026 Gagosian is pleased to announce Groomed, an exhibition of seven new paintings by Bea Scaccia that opens at the gallery’s Park & 75 location on September 22. The second in a series of solo presentations by different artists curated by Francesco Bonami, it is Scaccia’s debut exhibition with the gallery. The paintings in Groomed depict elaborate, sumptuous scenes filled with accumulations of fabric and various accoutrements of feminine style including wigs, costume jewelry, shoes, belts, zippers, plastic chains, hair clips, bows, tassels, and faux fur. Backed by colorful curtains and patterned wallpaper, and occupied by chairs, beds, and ladders, these nighttime scenarios are illuminated by representations of fringed lamps, clip-on book lights, and precariously placed lit candles. The nocturnal atmosphere is reinforced by the matte surfaces that Scaccia achieves by mixing gesso with acrylic to mute the colors, reworking them with airbrush, and applying oil paint to selected details.

FULL DISCLOSURE: THE EDGE OF INFORMATION DESIGN @MOMA MUSEUM OF MODERN ART 27 SEPT, 2026 - 13 JUN, 2027 We swim in an ocean of data. Every click, weather pattern, border crossing, and blood test is tracked and fed into systems that increasingly inform our daily behaviors. Data, however, is not knowledge. Before it can be put to use, it must first be translated—through design. Full Disclosure explores how contemporary designers act as essential interpreters of this cultural revolution, transforming raw data into visual stories we can understand and use. Discover more

JUNGLE BLISS - BORINQUEN GALLO @HUDSON RIVER MUSEUM 18 SEPT, 2026 - 14 MAR, 2027
Knitting and threading familiar discarded materials—including netting, caution tape, and plastic bags—into dense, textural weavings, Jungle Bliss appears to be a natural, verdant canopy, only to reveal itself as entirely synthetic upon closer inspection. It will also include animated projections of butterflies and jungle critters that expand visually onto the surrounding gallery walls. This immersive installation functions as a powerful visual metaphor, examining the tensions between nature and artifice, permanence and transience, and individual responsibility and collective action. In the Hudson Valley, invasive species are spreading unchecked and reshaping local forests into dense, jungle-like landscapes; microplastics are polluting local waterways; and real estate development is fragmenting natural habitats. Gallo’s installation draws attention to pressing environmental threats and advocates for the communal stewardship and preservation of Hudson Valley’s ecosystems.

GAIA EARTH INSTALLATION - LUKE JERRAM @CATHEDRAL OF ST. JOHN DIVINE, NY 18 SEPT - 08 OCT, 2026 Gaia is a touring artwork by UK artist Luke Jerram. Measuring seven meters in diameter and created from 120dpi detailed NASA imagery of the Earth’s surface (the Visible Earth series) the artwork provides the opportunity to see our planet, floating in three dimensions. The installation aims to create a sense of the Overview Effect, which was first described by author Frank White in 1987. Common features of the experience for astronauts are a feeling of awe for the planet, a profound understanding of the interconnection of all life, and a renewed sense of responsibility for taking care of the environment.
